A short walk about town

Now that the rain has stopped, it has been quite a nice evening to walk about town and get a few shots. I am not sure what these projects these photos might contribute towards (if any), but I quite like them anyway.

New ideas

I have been thinking about trying another style lately. The idea is to include a lot of the scene, but within it there is the object of interest. What I want people to do is to explore the scene and settle on the thing that I want them to find – in this case the old lady bent over by the tacky postcards. Rather than just keeping it simple and doing a straight portrait of the lady, I want to try this idea out for a while to see what I find. Probably makes sense to dust off the 35mm lens for this work, as the 50mm is almost welded to the camera nowadays.

I can’t sleep

It’s one of those nights where I can’t sleep, mainly as it has been such a busy day. So, I sit here posting this picture up at 1:30am in the morning. Somehow, I would rather be out taking some photos of what is happening in town. I had better get to sleep though, probably the sensible thing to do…

Out and about

I am in one of those moments where I am between projects. Several projects are carrying on as usual, like Remembrance. However, I have that feeling of being a bit, well, lost. I am out shooting everyday, it’s one of those things I just have to do, even if it’s only a couple of moments. But, I don’t have a new project to get my teeth into. Salisbury, feels pretty shot out by me now – sure little nuggets turn up – like the shot above I took earlier today – but overall, it’s got a bit boring and repetitive. I guess it’s time to start thinking about a new challenge. Let’s see what turns up over the next period of time…
