There is an interesting piece of work commissioned by Tate London and shot by the highly talented photographer, Chloe Dewe Matthews. The project documents South African Churches in places like Industrial Estates in Southwark, London.
More recently, she had been working on her ‘Shot at Dawn’ project detailing soldiers executed by their own men during the first world war, often for reasons of desertion. I saw some of her photographs from this work at the incredible Conflict, Time, Photography exhibition I attended in late 2014.
Check out her website here to find out more about her Sunday Service work and other work. I will post up some videos of her work in a while. However, in the meantime here is a link to a video about her Sunday Service project via the Independent Newspaper.
